Hentai

Hentai with Tentacles
or Tentacle Erotica
"Dream of the Fisherman's Wife"

My friend Ben has made a couple of songs all dedicated and dealing with sounds he associates to Hentai. We are in the midst of talking about him playing it live with his organ or we might just play it on a computer. We are not sure. His organ is really small so it wouldn't be too intrusive.

hAIku film

Arrrrhhhhhhh

I had a hard time deciding on three individual shots
I really wanted to use footage from the Canadian Mennonite documentary
but I thought that it was so interesting it was hard for me to cut up.
It is a really powerful position to take an image from a pre-existing film and to attempt to separate it from it's original context. However, I am not sure I entirely believe that the original images are entirely separated when placed in a new film of appropriated imagery. For example, in class everyone wanted to know the origins of the images. Is it appropriate to tell the audience or to keep it vague?
I guess it's dependent on intent

Duh

having made that comment in the last post
should probably post some of mah STUFF
I couldnt get my video to upload

I'm also really liking Martha Colburn's stuff right now. I saw her work in my animation class but her murals and installations are just as nice

pictures relating

transferred my slides to photographs
optically printing these onto 16mm
with the JK
Photos are of my house, a house in Grant Park, father's art work
Being raised in a house of constant renovation and gutted rooms is just resemblant of my own process of creating things that are in constant flux or their seeming incompleteness is completeness to me
what can be seemingly unfinished for others is the moment of presentation for me

Embracing all potential sloppiness of hand processing to communicate the decay of the south. The south nourishes itself on illusions and injustice.
Existence of dualities that are contained within societal structures with very little understanding or sympathy from outsiders

Fulton Cotton Mills recently turned into apartment buildings from an industrial mill. Though every year they experience a natural disaster i.e. fire, tornado, floods. All attempts to change the south are met with severe resistance; thus, giving it character and appreciation for its historical embrace.
